We like featuring wood in designs for our clients. Traditional timber framing, utilizing mortise and tenon joined wood posts and beams, is a fine way to showcase the beauty of wood. The finely crafted timbers offer their warmth and strength to many different styles of architecture.
Chuck Smith learned the art of designing with timbers while working as the lead designer for a world class timber framing company, New Energy Works. During his nine years with them, he designed dozens of timber framed structures as well as participated in a raising or two.
Many of our clients enjoy hybrid timber framed structures. As a hybrid, the timbers are featured in highly visible, public and often volume spaces while the remainder of the building is typical construction.
Utilizing 3D computer graphics we build a digital model of your timber frame to allow you to easily visualize the possibilities timbers can contribute to a space.
